Brick Street Gallery

Description

Celebrating Local Art in the Heart of West Liberty

Opened on June 25, 2021, the Brick Street Gallery was established by the West Liberty Area Arts Council (WLAAC) to create a dedicated space for showcasing local talent and creativity. Located at 104 E. 3rd Street in downtown West Liberty, the gallery quickly became home to a growing collection of artwork from more than a dozen artists—most of whom are local to the community.

The Brick Street Gallery exists to highlight the cultural and artistic side of West Liberty by:

  • Showcasing locally created artwork
  • Supporting area artists through exhibition and sales opportunities
  • Encouraging community engagement with the arts

Artists contribute not only their work, but also their time and passion, helping create a vibrant and ever-evolving space.

The gallery is directed by Deb Weiss, a retired West Liberty High School art teacher and dedicated arts advocate. Funding for the gallery was made possible through a generous grant from the Joseph & Edward Ryan Memorial Trust.

A Creative Community Hub

The Brick Street Gallery plays an important role in enriching West Liberty’s identity as a thriving and creative community. By attracting visitors and art enthusiasts from across the region, the gallery helps support local businesses and complements the town’s unique character.

Whether you’re an artist, collector, or simply curious, the gallery offers an inviting space to experience the creativity that makes West Liberty special.
